Car Club Challaenge:  Thanks to the Abilene Perfomance Car Association, Abilene Racing Forum, Abilene Air Cool and South Central Eliminators for bringing all the cars and people out for a great night of racing and fun. It took a lot of rounds to get through the cars in the club challenge.  In the final round, it was APCA vs SSE and probably the fastest vs the slowest dials in the whole bunch.  Jay Campbell for APCA was dialed at 6.14 and Bill Rhodes for SSE was dialed at 11.05.  It was over quicker than any of those numbers because Bill went -.08 red and that was it.  Since there were 4 clubs and each club put in $100, the win payed $200, runner up payed $100 and the two semi's paid $50 each.  We may be able to run another of these events and hopefully some more clubs will jump in. 

Whitten Inn Modified ET: Jay Campbell had a great night and doubled up with a win in the Mod Gamblers.  Freddy Hillin took the runner up spot.  It was pretty close, but Jay put a whuppin' on Freddy at the tree with a killer .008 light.  Freddy was a little behind already with a .041.  At the stripe it was Jay coasting to a 6.21 on a 6.18.  Freddy stayed on the hammer and broke out, running 6.689 under his 6.70 dial.
