Rhino Linings & Truck Accessories of Abilene Top ET: Tommy Watts scored a double up day, taking the win in Top and All Class. In Top, Tommy had the better light against Jon Chamberlain and ran 5.18 on a 5.17 for the win. Jon went dead on 6.549 on a 6.54 but Tommy's light gave him just enough edge to get the win.
Whitten Inn Modified ET: Shane Prichard cut the tree off with a.007 light to get the advantage over Brody Tibbets and take the Modified ET win. Brody hit a .33 light and ran 6.84 on a 6.82 for runner up. Shane was off about the same, posting 6.43 on a 6.41 dial.
Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: Donnie Oliver took the win in Motorcycle, aking Danny Lewis settle for second place for the second race in a row. Donnie got the lead off the line with a .067 light to Danny's .145. Donnie went on to win from there, driving a 6.28 on a 6.23 dial. Danny made up for being late by breaking out, running 6.97 under his 7.02 dial.
Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: Refer to this part of the 07/11 race write up and I guess thta Morgan Fulgham is screaming. A -.043 red light in the final gave a third win to Jacob Scherr of San Angelo, with Morgan taking runner up again.
All Run Showdown: Jerry West went -.023 red to hand the All Run win over to Tommy Watts. Red lights do the same thing to the write up as they do to the race - it's over quick.
Pro Footbrake: Nearly identical lights took the final between Sambo Tyra and Brody Tibbeets right down to the stripe. The lights were so close that Sambo had a mere .002 advantage at the tree. Sambo earned the win, driving the dragster to a 5.902 on a 5.90 dial. Brody didn't get that close, clocking 6.819 on a 6.80 to runner up.
No debate or tie breaker needed today to decide the Dial For Dollars winner - Bobby Knox won the pot with a 6.8001 on a 6.80 dial. We'd call that "durn close".
