RACESHOP ULTIMATE 16: This was Jeremy Smith's second final of the day and this time, he came out the winner. Jimmy Wenger had to settle for Runner Up after going -.016 red. Jeremy had the same 4.83 he'd been carrying all day, and finished 4.837. Again. (see Super Pro)
TOM THORP TRANSPORTS SUPER PRO (BOX): Donny Evilsizer got the win in Super Pro after Jeremy Smith went just a little bit red on the start. Donny finished 6.19 over a 6.17 dial with a .018 reaction time. Jeremy ran his 7th or 8th 4.83, this one with a 7. A -.009 red light wipes that right out.
13 SINS RACERAFT NO-BOX: It was Kris Pope and Robert Broom that faced off in the No Box final. Kris took the win with a 6.10 over a 6.09 dial and a .041 reaction time. Robert had a better .037 but only managed a 7.44 against his 7.38 dial. But wait, there's more. In the semis, Robert broke a rocker arm stud. That would have put most people out right there. But Robert managed to find a replacement stud - from Kris Pope. There was only time to slap it together, take it to the line and give it a shot. Even knowing that one racer clearly had the edge over the other, Kris and Robert split the pot. And now you know - the rest of the story..
MAX'S AUTOMOTIVE JR DRAGSTER: The Jr final was a heads up start and ended up as a double breakout. Austin Green did less of the break-out thing and came away with the win. Both drivers dialed 8.06. Runner Up Ty Farmer lit Austin up good, hitting a .018 to Austin's .059. Ty stayed out in front, but Austin was was just a hair under at 8.058 for the win. Ty ran it out the back end, finishing way under 8.02.
MAX'S KAWSAKI MOTORCYCLE: Don Hrometz was handed the win in Motorcycle after Brent Forsman went way red on his side of the tree. Don finished 6.01 over a 6.00 with a .083 light. Brent ran 6,43 against a 6.20 dial.
BIG COUNTRY STREET ELIMINATOR: Stacy Acevedo took the win in Street, basically hitting runner up Steve Boles with a big street racer smack-down. Stacy had a killer .013 light and ran dead on 8.409 for the win. Steve had a .154 light and finished 7.46 under his 7.55 dial.
TOM THORP TRANSPORTS SUPER PRO (BOX): Willie Flores scored his first win and it was a big one. Runner up Kyle Rickman had the mis-fortune to go -.002 red. Willie finished up 5.74 over a 5.71 while Kyle ran it out to a 4.498 under a 4.50 dial.
13 SINS RACERAFT NO-BOX: Winner Robert Broom hit the tree hard in the final, starting off with a .009 reaction time. Robert dialed 7.38 and left first. Walt Zschirnt had to go big or go home - and it was big red, -080. Just to rub salt in that wound, Walt ran it out to a dead on 6.556.
MAX'S AUTOMOTIVE JR DRAGSTER: Jace Head took the win in Jr, using a great reaction time to get around runner up Courtnee Dunn. Jace was .008 on the tree while Courtnee had a way soft .089. From the final ETs being way off dial, it looks like Jace knew he had Courtnee covered way much and maybe Courtnee knew she wasn't getting anywhere close to Jace.
MAX'S KAWSAKI MOTORCYCLE: Our #1 and #2 in points met up in the final round with #1 Bruce Siburt taking home the win. #2 Don Hrometz missed a double up by a -.024 red light. Bruce was 5.84 on a 5.87 with a .052 light. Don ran out to a 6.039 over a 6.01.
BIG COUNTRY STREET ELIMINATOR: #1 and #2 in Street also met in the final round today. And just like in Motorcycle, #1 Robbie Bowermaster took the win with a dead on 8.423 and a .088 light. Runner up Robert Schoemer had Robbie covered on the tree with a good .029 light but the truck was on a pass and even killing nearly 10 MPH, Robert still broke out with a 11.68 under his 11.72 dial.
