RACE RESULTS FOR SATURDAY AUGUST 5, 2017 - POINTS RACE #12

TOM THORP TRANSPORTS SUPER PRO (BOX): Johnny Calvert used a good light to take the win in Super Pro, getting the better of Justin Bromley in the final. Johnny was .016 on the tree, 6.11 over a 6.08 at the finish line. Justin was late with a .061 and broke out trying to make it up. 4.6297 on a 4.63 works out to .0003 under the dial. He was still behind .013 at the stripe so the breakout was just more irritation.
LONGMIRE PLUMBING NO-BOX/SPORTSMAN: Aaron Cadena just barely got past Roy Spivey to take the win in No Box. Aaron had a .044 light and ran 5.72 over his 5.66 dial. Roy was closer to the dial at 6.554 on a 6.54 but was a bit late leaving with a .099 light. From looking at the numbers, Aaron was probably whopping it at the stripe to kill ET - and only got there first by .0022. That's called "I dang near gave it back!" One less whop next time.
MAX'S AUTOMOTIVE JR DRAGSTER: So, you think you're bad with your big ol' race car and $$$ crossover box and all that - well, stay out of Jr Dragster. Jalen Johnston puts up the final round Package Of The Day - 7.946 on a 7.93 dial with a .0004 light - for the win in Jr. That's a .016 package. Jace Head wasn't messing around either - 7.97 dead on with a 6 and a .020 light - for a .026 package. That works out to about 12" behind at the finish line. That's some close racing.
MAX'S KAWSAKI MOTORCYCLE: Don Hrometz takes the win on Motorcycle thanks to Frankie Berry handing it over by going big red in the final round.
BIG COUNTRY STREET ELIMINATOR: About the same here in the Street final as it was in Motorcycle - Bobbie Bowermaster leaves .02 early (get it "too early" - LOL, - whatever) giving the win over the Ken Wishowski.
