Rhino Linings & Truck Accessories of Abilene Top ET:  6.488 on a 6.47 dial with a .010 reaction time was the winning combination in Top for Jon Chamberlain.  Mike Echols of Arlington had a good .015 light but the dragster fell off on top, running a tenth off the dial at 5.05 on a 4.95. Jon was killing 'em today and didn't lose a single round in Top.  Neither did Mike - until the final!

Whitten Inn Modified ET: Sambo Tyra has been traveling to Dallas Raceway in Crandall and taking home some bucks on almost every trip.  Apparently, Dallas got tired of that and sent Robert Schoemer and the Stealth Pontiac out to get some of their money back.  Fortunately for the Abilene home team, Mike Jernigen was on a roll and rolled right to the Modified win in the final round. Like the winner in Top, Mike won every round on race day.  In the Final, Mike went .049 on the tree and ran a close 7.32 on a 7.28 dial.  We can't tell from here, but it looks like Robert got there first but broke out with a 8.45 under his 8.46 dial.  Robert was a bit late with a .09 light and the Pontiac was just trying to make up some time.

Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: And here's another "Nah, nah, I won every round today" class winner. Larry Zienteck scored his second win in a row, taking out Frankie Berry in the last round of Motorcycle.  Larry scored a 7.56 on a 7.50 dial for the win.  Frankie was a bit late off the line and then proceeded to break out at 6.58 under a 6.64 dial.  Some days you just get beat up at both ends of the track.

Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: Jacob Scherr of San Angelo took the top honor in Jr, taking out points leader Carson Lewis of Knox City in the final.  Carson got to leave first and went red, handing Jacob the win right off the bat.  It would have been a great round, with Jacob running .042 off dial at 7.9423 on a 7.90 and Carson running .033 off dial at 8.973 on a 8.94.

All Run Showdown: Michael Johnston of San Angelo scored a win in All Run, after Pro Body Works' boss man Jeff Tibbetts went a "Oh-Man-That-Bites" -.008 red in the final.  It looks like the big Chevy is as long as the dragster - good thing we had a wide angle lens.

Pro Footbrake: Ty Casey took the win in the Pro final, souring Chris Kelly's try for a second in a row Pro win.  It started off great with both drivers hitting good and nearly identical lights.  Chris left the line with a .024 and Ty came out with a .025.  But the Falcon wasn't fast enough and the Nova nipped it's wings right in the lights.  The score boards showed 6.152 on a 6.14 for Ty and 8.179 on a 8.16 for Chris.
Gary Jackson locked up the Dialing for Dollars round with a dead on 4.9704 on a 4.97 and a .016 reaction time.  Jr. Dragster pilot Morgan Fulgham gave him a scare when she layed down a 11.5149 on an 11.51 dial, but it wasn't quite close enough.  Gary scored over $300 for a single pass - that's a pretty decent pass!

Modified Gamblers:  Gerald Middleton ran 6.81 on a 6.79 dial for the win.  Freddy Hillin had a killer .015 light but ran 6.81 off his 6.70 dial to runner up.

Jr Gamblers:  Carson Lewis took out Cole Carpenter in the Jr. Gamblers final with a 9.02 on a 8.97 dial.  Carson had a better light and ran closer to the dial.  Cole was a bit behind with a 7.96 on a 7.92.
