RACE RESULTS FOR SATURDAY MAY 19, 2018 - POINTS RACE #6
ALL ACCESS CHALLENGE RACE
WALLYS IN SUPER PRO, NO BOX, MOTORCYCLE AND STREET
TOM THORP TRANSPORTS SUPER PRO (BOX): Kevin Thorp won the Super Pro Wally, using a great .004 light to get around runner Up Clark Humphrey's 5.84 dead on 9. Kevin finished 4.80 over a 4.79 dial. Clark was .030 on the tree so Kevin had about .025 to work with at the finish line. That looks like Jeremy Smith's dragster, so not a bad finish for a rental.
13 SINS RACECRAFT NO-BOX: Benny Gossett won the Wally in No Box, and had it handed to him when Don Hrometz went -.009 red in the final round. Could have been real close race if the lights had been close. Benny was 5.697 over a 5.68 dial and Don ran 5.961 over a 5.95. Been quite a while since we've had a motorcycle in the No Box final. The bikes were giving the regular footbrake contingent fits today.
MAX'S AUTOMOTIVE JR DRAGSTER: Jalen Johnston took the win in Jrs thanks to Ty Farmer going rather red on his side of the tree.
MAX'S KAWSAKI MOTORCYCLE: This Wally round had to go all the way to the stripe to get a decision. Mike Rogers came out on top, htting a .024 light and finishing 6.30 over a 6.29 dial. Bruce Siburt had Mike on the tree with a .007 reaction time but on the big end Bruce ran 5.760 under his 5.77 dial for a break out loss.
BIG COUNTRY STREET ELIMINATOR: Doug New was the Street Wally winner, getting the better end of a double red final round. Robert Schoemer left first, went red first and that was about the end of that. About 3 seconds later Doug jumped the gun on his side, but under the current red light rules it didn't matter.
